Overall Opinion On Graco 257025 Paint Sprayer
It appears that if your expectations are not too grand this sprayer gets most jobs done. The biggest complaint is the limitation of the thickness of paint that you can use in the sprayer. Another point of contention is that you are limited to products that can be cleaned with soap and water or mineral spirits. It also seems that it is less than ideal for interior painting. It has problems clogging excessively with latex paint. This is coupled with the fact that it has a lot of overspray causing you to need more ventilation that can be provided indoors. Latex is also the preferred interior paint, which is a problematic paint for the sprayer.
The Graco paint sprayer seems best suited for stain. The tip shows no issues with the thinner stain. When using the sprayer outside, the amount of overspray is not much of an issue unless it is really windy or there is a lot of tint to the stain. The longer hose and extension tips are also helpful for outdoor jobs and paint jobs that need to be done on a ladder. The best usage of this product is with thinner paints and in places with a lot of ventilation. If your expectations are moderate and you understand that the results will not be exactly like a professional paint sprayer, you will not be disappointed with the sprayer.

[su_tab title=”Maintenance” disabled=”no” anchor=”” url=”” target=”blank” class=””]Maintenance for the Magnum Project Painter Plus is minimal. Inspect the openings in the motor shroud every time you use the sprayer. In addition it is important to inspect the inlet strainer and gun filter for blockages. The hose also should be inspected at each use for damage or leaks. Clean the sprayer thoroughly after each use. Use the Pump Armor when storing the sprayer for long periods of time to ensure that all the moving parts stay lubricated. [su_tab title=”Level of Experience” disabled=”no” anchor=”” url=”” target=”blank” class=””]The nice thing about the Graco Magnum Project Painter Plus is that a complete beginner can use it. There is a bit of a learning curve that you will have to go through if you have never used a sprayer. The main difficulties in operation occur with the overspray and striping that can occur with sprayers. If you have used a sprayer before this will be very simple to use. A test spray of each type and thickness of paint used is a good idea before any project regardless of the skill level of the user.[/su_tab][/su_tabs]

My Final Thoughts:
The final thoughts on this product are mixed. If you use it exactly as it is indicated, it will do what it claims to do. There is a lot of product support and it is made in America which is a definite plus. Be modest in what you expect from the sprayer and you will not be disappointed. Expect to do some extra work if you want to use latex with this sprayer. You need to strain all your paints, but it is impossible to use if you do not strain the latex paint. Even with the straining be prepared for quite a few clogs. If you are using it outside for stain this is the product for you. The nagging issues of overspray and clogging are not issues when you use it outdoors with a thinner stain. Overall it seems to be worth the money spent
